Taylor Swift wins album of the year; Kendrick Lamar wins 5, gives epic performance.
The show which had LL Cool J as Host saw a lot of theatrical performance from Kendrick Lamar, duet with former college football quarterback Sam Hunt and Carrie Underwood - introduced by NFL players Anquan Boldin and Von Miler in an attempt to create a little sports music synergy. A team up of rising star Andra Day and Ellie Golding was far more musically rewarding. Rihanna, who was billed to perform "Kiss It Better" from her album ANTI cancelled at the last minute.


 Lady Gaga performed a tribute to David Bowie, who died last month of cancer.

Taylor Swift use the opportunity to get back at Kanye West in her thank you speech saying
           “I want to thank the fans for the last 10 years,” Swift said. “As the first woman to win album of the year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there: There are are going to be people along the way who try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame, but if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going, you will know that it’s you and the people that love you that puts you there.”
