Google Music Debut in South Africa

Google Music launched its music streaming service in South Africa making it the first country in Africa to enjoy the service.
“Starting today, local music fans will have an unlimited pass to a huge library of music, on all of their devices, from all the major record companies, as well as top local and independent labels,” Google South Africa said in their announcement.
The service has 35 million songs which includes local artists alongside international stars.
Google South Africa says it’s also worked with with local licensing organisations to “ensure all artists are fairly compensated for work featured in the Play Music store”.
The services allow user to upload up to 50,000 songs from their personal libraries for free, and users are also allowed to buy music, download and keep permanently.
Google play music is available in South Africa for R49.99 a month
Google also launched in Serbia.
