Taraba: The Madness Goes On

Nigeria Judiciary which has never really earned a name for probity has degenerated into a circus.

The elections petitions Tribunals sit on weekends and they give rulings that Mullahs and Ayatollahs will envy

Saturday, the tribunal "Sacked" the governor of Taraba state, citing improper primaries in the PDP. Yet the petition before it is whether or not the governor won the elections.

The whole thing has made the nation the butt of Jokes and also shows that the APC, the ruling party, is not yet prepared to govern.

Nigeria's president is ignorantly referred to as a man with zero tolerance for corruption but Mr Buhari
has told them how wrong they are by the mindless way he has taken over the elections tribunals.

When the PDP, the country's opposition drew public attention to the way the government uses its agencies to harass the opposition, most of the nation's usually docile population said nothing.

In Rivers, Akwa Ibom, the APC is cancelling elections that Jega said were credible and all that.

If elections hold in those two states for ever, the APC will not win.
Now,what is Mr Buhari's mission in a one party state?

Nigeria has too many problems to solve. It does not have the money to waste on elections rerun.

Mr Buhari should remember that if any election was marred by irregularities, It was the March 28 general elections. The card readers that did not read and the army of children that voted in the north are not hidden.

The opposition has let things be but Mr Buhari and those that advice him have not.

A one party state cannot work in Nigeria. In fact, it is foolish to even advocate for one.

The APC is creating these diversions because it is shocked by what it discovers governance at the national level means. It is overwhelmed by the colossal responsibilities that it must confront,or way or another.

Taking over the Judiciary is the worst form of corruption.
