Russian Metrojet : Putin's Dilemma

Two hundred plus fatalities are painful enough to sober anybody unless the perpetrators, If there are perpetrators, in connection with the fall from sky of Russian plane on Saturday.

But Russia, in a public relations worries, seem to think that America take a perverse joy from their tragedy.



Vladimir Putin, Russia's president's, name will hurt if it is true that ISIL did indeed bring down the plane.

On Sunday, we asked, even before the US suggested it, whether ISIL could have shot down the plane.

Not likely,say experts. But there are strong evidence to sIgnal that a bomb was placed insIde the plane at the Sharma EL Sheik airport..

Russia does not want the world to think that ISIL has hit it hard. That would mean Russia's intervention is wrong. And that gives Putin a bad name. And he values his name.

Metro's remaining aircraft of similar range have been grounded.
In Egypt,there are already personnel changes at the airport.

As America is not letting up on the theory, Britain has cancelled flights from the airport even as Belgium and Italy continue operations.

Russia would wish this was another accident.
But it is not.
