North Korea: Money Talks As China Moves South

Strength and wisdom are not opposing values, Bill Clinton told George W.Bush in a Times Magazine Interview in 2003. And Clinton used to air drop potatoes for North Korea each time it got hungry and threaten to obliterate the south.

Then Bill Clinton made it possible for China to join the World Trade Organisation after promising they would no longer obliterate Taiwan.

A rich China took over America's worries.
Irritation from North Korea became normal for China. In fact it was a sign of strength to be the sole ally of a rogue nuclear nation.

Now that irritation has gone beyond the annoyance level to the clearly dangerous for China. Its economy may still be the 2nd largest in the world but it is on an economic edge.

Cheap oil should have meant lower production cost. But the outputs are not translating to growth as there are too many goods and more unwilling buyers.

China has told North Korea that it has had it. No more threats or else.

Now or else what?

Well, first Chinese Premier ignore North Korea's leader to attend a fence mending summit in Seoul ,South Korea Monday along with Japan who, by the way is the only economy doing well in the Asian pacific Region.

All three nations are meeting for the first time in three years. They have one thing in common that does not bode well for them economically: a long memory. Some going back a century.

The trilateral agreements reached has not wiped out those bitter memories.
Shinzo Abe still has to apologised for his ancestor's sins against South Korea.

But they reached a conclusion: It is time to use wisdom. Strength is hurting abilities to make money .And North Korea must be told to keep quiet in a firm way.

So, Park Geun-hye, Shinzo Abe and Li Kegiang have agreed to an "East Asia Markets" and to revamp the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP)
North Korea has nothing to sell and not a member.

Money talks.
