The Miss Nigeria 2015 Beauty Pageant was held on Saturday , November 7

In its 39th edition this year, the glamour packed event was held at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Pamela Peter-Vigboro Leesi, a 22 year old graduate of the University of Port Harcourt won the coveted crown after a very tight and rigorous competition. Pamela represented Cross River State and competed against 35 other contestants who represented all the other states in Nigeria.

The night sizzled with excitement and tension when Miss Jigawa and Miss Cross River were held up in a tie. This is something that happens extremely rarely so the audience felt lucky to witness that.
The capable judges quickly came up with a random question in an effort to break the tie.

The ladies were asked to come up with a business idea. Easy, right? Yeah. Try doing that in 30 seconds. That was the time given to them. honest.
Anyway, Pamela's answer seemed to please the judges immensely and she was crowned Queen.

The judges included top designers Mai Atafo, Lanre Da Silva and Audu Manor. Also among the were Helen Prest Ajayi, Ruth Isume, Isoken Ogimwoniyi, Chima Ude and Jumoke Adenowo.
The Miss Nigeria beauty pageant was founded and first organised by the Daily Times in 1957. The winner of the maiden edition, Madam Grace Atinuke Oyelude, who was an employee of the United African Company (UAC), then and is now 82-year old, was also present at the event and Heritage Bank presented her with a brand new Peugeot 601 Saloon car.
