Ibrahim Magu is New Acting EFCC Chairman, Lamorde To Proceed on Terminal Leave

Nigeria Anti graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) chairman, Ibrahim Lamorde is to proceed on terminal as Buhari approve the appointment of Magu. Ibrahim Magu, a top level official in the same agency. He is an Assistant Commissioner in the Nigeria Police Force.

Lamorde was appointed to the position in 2011 when Farida Waziri was removed.





Magu is remembered as a no-nonsense investigator of the commission at its inception.  He work with Nuhu Ribadu, and was part of many investigative team, including the case of the former Delta state Governor, James Ibori.


 Dr. George Uboh filed a petition against Lamorde, of diverting N1 trillion proceeds of corruption which was recovered by EFCC.
